The L.A. Blades will be participating next year in the LAS VEGAS SinCity Shootout in Jan, 2013 MLK weekend. This 1st year of participation will be a drop-in tourney for 8 teams. If you are interested please contact Brynne at crittercatchers@cox.net as soon as possible.

The Sin City Shootout began as a Gay Softball tournament, has expanded to include Gay Basketball, Tennis, Wrestling, Dodgeball, and Bodybuilding competitions across the city. 2013 will be a trial-run to also include Gay Ice Hockey with a full scale gay ice hockey rollout potentially for the 2014 tournament.



Established in 1985, the Los Angeles Blades are the first openly Gay and Lesbian ice hockey team in the United States. We currently have novice and intermediate teams.

We participate in the Gay Games, the Coors Cup tournament in Denver, we host the Coors Cup tournament in Los Angeles, and we play yearly after the Kings Game at the Staples Center.

Our ice hockey club members are made up of diverse group of individuals from all walks of life, which include gay, lesbian, straight, and married couples. Each team usually plays once or twice a week and we hold a practice scrimmage usually once a month.

We are always looking for new team recruits (beginner to advanced skill level), spectators, friends, volunteers, and donations.
We welcome all interested to inquire about joining and please come to one of our games (admission is free), an event or contact us to join the team.
