Blades blank Bad Brains
LAKEWOOD-Currently residing in last place in the PCHL Level 6 division, the Blades came up with a tremendous effort against the first place Bad Brains. After losing by scores of 9-1 and 6-4 earlier in the season, the "Bad Brains Nation" fans were expecting another easy win for their team. The Blades did not oblige them.With Richard filling in at goalie the Blades and Bad Brains battled to a scoreless tie in the first period. It remained that way until 9:11 in the second period with the Blades constant pressure on the net, Mark got the team on the board with an assist from Tim. The Blades kept pressure on throughout the rest of the game, with Bob adding an insurance goal on an assist from Rufus.
Despite pulling their goalie the Bad Brains were unable to score giving Richard the Blades first shut out of the season. After a break for Independence Day the Blades will be back on the ice, Sunday, July 10 @ 9:40 PM vs. the second place Avalanche. All Blades games are free to attend.
