The Greater Long Beach Sports Association is getting ready for Gay Games VII in Chicago July 15-22, 2006. All So Cal athletes are invited to attend the "One Year To Go" kickoff party Thursday, July 21 beginning at 8 pm at the Silver Fox bar in Long Beach 411 Redondo Blvd. 562.439.6343
The party will also be an excellent opportunity for athletes to meet and connect with other participants in their sports. The Team Long Beach contingent to the Sydney Gay Games in 2002 participated in Basketball (Men's and Women's), Swimming, Triathlon, Marathon, Tennis, Golf and Bowling. Pre-registration for the games is available at the discounted price of $125 per person. This is an excellent offer as you can no longer take advantage of it on the official Chicago Gay Games website. The current "official" registration price recently rose to $175. Approximately 20 of these discounted registrations are left and will be sold on a first come, first server basis. One free registration will be raffled off at the kickoff party. You must be present to win.
